Educator

My passion for teaching and supporting emerging young musicians is basic to who I am as an artist and person. While I believe that musicians should first of all complete a thorough education to help them excel in their respective fields, they should also be encouraged to be entrepreneurial and inquisitive, wondering what contribution they could make to their field.

I find it critically important to listen to students’ ambitions and start steering them towards realizing them early on. As an educator, I also realize that there is a distinct lack of resources for outgoing students, which is why I think it is imperative to devise curricula that include practical skills, such as setting up a teaching studio, maintaining a relevant online presence, and connecting with professional organizations.I maintain a busy private studio and offer piano, music theory, aural skills, and composition lessons.

My studio is located in Vienna, VA, but I also particularly enjoy teaching remotely. If you would like to book a lesson, please feel free to visit either Chevy Chase Music or Music School 21. Alternatively, you can always reach out to my via email.
